why is it taking so long for Email messages to be sent out.. Something new with Comcast?
Past couple weeks I send an email it goes in the outbox sits there and EVENTUALLY goes, sometimes not. Using Mac Mail on imac never had the issue before... Plus it seems comcast went down for a few seconds today but back up... I find this slowness in sending Quite annoying....Paying big bucks to comcast this should NOT happen..TY

I go on mac mail. Write a message and /or respond to one like just now.. Starts looking like its sending then it goes to the outbox ,stays there eventually it goes...Started doing this past couple weeks.. Even at one point said try a different server you get this big drop down message....Something is not working right here with comcast....
I never use comcast online site to send mail. Only use mac mail...though obviously it goes through their servers.

Does it send OK if you just use the webmail interface?

Although you never use webmail, Latoque wanted you to try it to see if you were getting the same results as you do with MacMail [He's a Mac, I'm a PC]. That will help us start to pin down where the problem may be.

@bluebird51 if there is an issue with the server, it would replicate on the webmail platform. Try to send a test email via the webmail and see if you experience the same type of issue. If you are not, then you may need to repair the account in Mac Mail. I've checked our outboud server and im not seeing any issues in sending.

OK that tells us the issue is with Mac Mail. Disable the account as it is right now. Then re-create it again from scratch. Once you get it up and running you can then delete the first one from Mail.
