Why are emails so slow to arrive

I send myself a website in an email from my iPhone so I can look at it at home on my computer. I still haven’t received it after two hours so why is it taking so long?

Hello, @sujon thanks for taking the time out of your day to contact our Xfinity Support Team on our Forums. Did the email end up coming through on your end? I would make sure to check your folders/filters if not.

@XfinityJorge​ Not only are they taking forever to send (from my phone) but now I cannot receive them on my phone!  I called and was told there was nothing they can do.  The STMP numbers are all correct but, personally, I don't think the person really knew too much and said it was my phone.  Everything was find up until a few days ago when all this started.  I am out of state until April and glad I have my lap top with me but can't carry it everywhere I go to check emails.  So frustrating since Comcast did away with their app!

  1. Click the "direct message" icon
  2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  3. Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  5. Press Enter to send it

Good morning,

Checking our server logs it indicates a large amount of authentication failures(wrong username and/or password) from a mobile device. It appears likely that when you attempt to send via your mobile device, because its not authenticating to the servers correctly that its not actually sending the email to your mailbox.
