Webmail Search Index Broken - Only showing yesterday and today

My email search bar is corrupted and only displays matching emails from yesterday and today. This happens in incognito mode and on multiple devices. I am making this post so an Official Employee can reply and help me open an engineering ticket to rebuild my search index.

mykesbytes, thank you for reaching out and creating a new post. I also see you followed up via direct message, and we can jump back into a private chat when we're ready. As a heads-up, it is a violation of the community guidelines to send our team an unsolicited direct message. We kindly ask that you wait for our reply on your post, ensuring we properly track incoming posts, messages, and comments.

To confirm, are you checking your email directly through our website (https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite)? Are you searching "All Folders" or a specific folder you created?

I have been a Comcast member for over 20 years. I had to research to find help with my problem. I was instructed to post on the forum and send a direct message for a solution to my problem because I could not find answers anywhere else. I was NOT told it was a violation to ask for help, as I thought that the community would respond on the forum and Comcast support would help by direct message. I am truly, truly sorry for unknowingly violating the guidelines.

Yes, I am directly using the website to check my email. All my senders' email addresses are documented in my address book, and I am searching by email address, as I always do. I search 'all folders' and then by 'inbox'. I am very behind in my email, but the search results show only yesterday and today. It did, however, work perfectly last night, with search results showing all days' emails as well as previous emails in folders. I checked in Google Chrome and on Samsung Browser on my phone, with only results from yesterday and today. I have tried incognito on both, with the same two days' results.

If I search a word like 'Amazon' in 'all folders'... I receive only yesterday's and today's new mail, with 'sent messages' beginning from 2020 and previous years. I would never receive sent messages in a search unless I clicked on Sent Messages. The search would show 'other folders' but no longer. Clicking on 'Inbox' just shows the last 2 days. This is all screwed up. Is anyone else having a problem?

I did a Google Chrome update this morning, so I thought it was a problem with the update, but my Samsung browser on my phone did not update and is showing exactly the same search results.

I just tried using Firefox Browser on my computer with the same results.

Please help.

mykesbytes, you can always reach out when you need help, and we are always here for you. We just kindly ask that, per the guidelines, you create a post and wait for our reply before sending a direct message. I appreciate your understanding.

I checked my email to see if I could replicate the issue, and I didn't have this occur on my end. To be safe, I've asked some of my fellow peers who are online to give it try, and they report everything is all clear. I checked if we have any "known" issues related to this, and I'm not seeing any problems at this time. That said, we could give it another day or so to see if you notice any changes or improvements.

Okay... Thank you very much for checking into this.

This happened once before... several years ago.  The search results were only going back 7 days. It eventually went back to normal, but I don't remember any details. I wasn't relying on the search function as much as I do now.

I'll keep this tab open and make notes of any changes or if it returns to normal.

On my end, I'll be back in the office on Sunday, October 25th. I'll follow up to check on any progress. If you find yourself needing help before then, you can feel free to circle back here.

From my Gemini AI......

"Update for the engineering ticket: My search results are not just restricted to a shifting 'two days'—they have a hard cutoff date. The search engine completely resets and begins strictly on Tuesday, October 20th. I can find any email from Tuesday until today, but absolutely nothing before Tuesday is being indexed, even though the mail is still safely in my folders. This confirms a backend rolling-window or date-anchor index corruption on my account profile. Can you please expedite the engineering ticket to force-wipe and rebuild my mailbox's search index from scratch?"
