Unable to access inactive account
Recently whenever I tried accessing my email I keep getting an error saying that I need to reset my password. Then, it says I need to work with the primary account manager to resolve this. Problem is, #1 this is an old inactive account and #2 this person is now dead and I have no way to get into their account. The password they left doesn't work and the recovery option sends a code to a long since deactivated phone. This email password has always worked fine until some screw up at xfinity decided that people should reset their passwords for "security reasons" which is not how password security works by the way. Passwords should only be reset if they've been compromised not just cause an arbitrary length of time has passed. Many people on the forums are recently having this problem as i've read as well. It was a nightmare getting access to my current account and email since tech support on the phone doesn't tell you everything you need to do. However, that email address is nearly useless to me as I don't really use it and use my old email address I've had for many years. I also have access to an account that has this old account linked to it but no way to get access to it. You have a nice button for switch accounts that I assume is to switch to the other account linked but it does nothing except send you back to the page you were just on. I need access to this email address.

@user_nd3ij7 Account security is a top priority at Comcast. As part of our commitment to our customers, Comcast routinely reviews and monitors account security. We recommend that our customers reset or change their passwords regularly, and take other steps to protect your information. We may require that you reset or update your password at times due to evolving external security threats, updated security requirements, or if we suspect that the Xfinity ID has been compromised elsewhere. For your protection, if we suspect or observe suspicious activity relating to your account, we may also require that you reset the password. With that being said how long has it been since you have had access to this email account on the inactive account?
