The certificate for domain 'imap-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted.
All day (9/12/2022), the Comcast mail system has been error-prone. In most cases, it just times out and suggests trying later (not an option for me). Now it seems that a problem is with a certificate.
The message is: "The certificate for domain 'IMAP-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted." So, where do we go with this creaky system? Tests run from an iPhone or an IPad do not reveal a problem, but the laptop browser version (Google, Firefox, Edge) definitely does have a problem.
What can I do to identify the problem, and what is Concast doing to fix the problem?

Same problem all day in Virginia. And the funny thing is, I got a pop-up survey asking me to gauge my satisfaction with Xfinity email, its reliability, and how likely I would be to recommend it to family and friends. My response to the survey went through just fine!!! Probably to a black hole.

I'm seeing the same error with Win 10 login. Androids have recently been toggling between "Internet Connection Lost" and "Internet Connection Restored" when using WiFi but email doesn't have the untrusted error and timeout crashes reported with computer.

For nine hours I thought it was something done by me. I had to do a small important email. The words that I was using may affect where my spirit goes.

Same issue all day here in Oregon. Clearly an encryption certificate expired on a server used by xfinity. Seems like it would be a fairly simple fix.

The problem seems to have been solved, at least for me.

I've been getting that message all last night. I can work from my phone, but the old desk top is an exercise in futility.

Hey @robert.n045, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support on our Forums. On Monday and early Tuesday morning, there was a known issue with accessing emails and the certificate error you were receiving. Our backend team got that resolved yesterday, are you still experiencing issues? On a side note, the forums is set up so the community can share their experiences and suggestions. Employees will respond after a few days if your question hasn't been answered to give others time to respond in many of the categories. If you ever need assistance from an employee directly, posting on the customer service page will reach us.
