The certificate for domain 'imap-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted.

All day (9/12/2022), the Comcast mail system has been error-prone. In most cases, it just times out and suggests trying later (not an option for me). Now it seems that a problem is with a certificate.

The message is:  "The certificate for domain 'IMAP-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted."  So, where do we go with this creaky system?  Tests run from an iPhone or an IPad do not reveal a problem, but the laptop browser version (Google, Firefox, Edge) definitely does have a problem.

What can I do to identify the problem, and what is Concast doing to fix the problem?

@XfinityMorgan Hi...Thank you for the reply; I appreciate it, as I hope all those who also commented may have. The certificate was not the only issue, although it may have precipitated the incessant timeouts for several days. I believe that it should not have taken the time that it did to rectify the problem. Further, there should be a way to post a notice that the issue has been noticed and was being fixed.

I haven't used the Comcast interface for a day or so but I'm now using the Win box with the issue and it has been back to normal for this session. Think it's fixed.

I am also getting this message. I tried to call several times which as expected was a total waste of time. I find it amazing how poor Comcast support is.

I'm getting same in Pittsburgh on 9/12/22.  I've re-started and shut down but still get same popup.  Makes me afraid to use.  Took a picture.  Reads:  "Error     The certificate for domain imap-east.ge.xfinity.com is untrusted."

@DME306 Same with me. Sort of glad I am not alone. So far I have not lost any emails when moving them to folders, but this message still keeps popping up.

@user_ae5f5d They only worry about the $300.00 per month, not the service. Get real it's Comcast!

I am getting the same error today (9/12/22). Also having trouble loading emails. Sometimes it looks as if my inbox is empty; other times I can see the subject lines, and in fact continue to see the subject line if I click on an email, but the body of the email doesn't load. Are others having these problems along with the "The certificate for domain 'imap-east.ge.xfinity.com' is untrusted" error (which is what I also see)? Does anyone know if Xfinity is doing anything?
