Sync failure after most recent update

On May 2nd, I woke up and my email would not send/receive to my phone.  I was traveling.  Spent the whole WEEK trying to remedy this and do all the things recommended (deleting account, IMAP, reset password).  Nothing worked.  Then suddenly, on Friday, May 8th, email started working on my iPhone again.  DIdn't do anything different, it just started again.

NOW, the iPhone DOES NOT SYNC with my computer at all.  I can't see any of the file folders on the iPhone, messages read on the iPhone are still showing on the computer, etc.

What is the solution?  Why is it always so difficult to connect to Xfinity and Comcast?

Hi there, @user_z8wofc. Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. Sorry to hear about the trouble with your email. That can definitely be frustrating. Using IMAP settings is the way to go. What app are you using on your computer for mail? Are you able to see everything if you log on to the portal here: connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/

@XfinityFrank

hello!  My question was not answered.  I replied indicating that I cannot select the IMAP option. When I try, it’s stuck in verification cycle and nothing happens.

I still can’t see my folders, get all emails, or sync.

Thank you for confirming that information @user_z8wofc, we appreciate it. Have you tried logging in to your Xfinity Webmail using a web browser to see if your folders are visible there?
