Sudden emails missing

Overnight Tuesday, all my email since July 2025 is gone.  Older emails remain and new emails also are coming in.  Can you please help?  Thank you.

Hello, @KMitch11! I am sorry to hear about the missing emails, we all know that can be a bummer. It is odd that it's only a select period, from July 2025 till now, but our team is happy to see what we can do to investigate and help in any way possible! Let's start with the basics:

Check the Trash/Deleted Items Folder:

Missing emails are often accidentally moved or deleted.

Use the "Recover Deleted Items" Tool:

In Xfinity Connect webmail, right-click the Trash folder (or click the three dots/gear icon next to Trash) and select Recover Deleted Items. Restored emails will return to their original folders.

Verify Third-Party Email Client Settings (POP vs. IMAP):

If you use an app like Apple Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird, check if a POP3 connection was recently configured. POP3 defaults to downloading emails and deleting them from the server. Switching to IMAP avoids this.

Check Email Filters & Rules:

Ensure no automated rules or filters are silently routing incoming or existing messages into another folder or deleting them.

Clear Cache & Check Other Devices:

Log into Xfinity Connect directly via an incognito browser window to ensure it isn't a local display caching issue.

And please let me know if any of that helps!

Thank you.  I did check the deleted files and as it turns out, I see what appears to be the emails that were missing; however, there are too many for me to go in and individually select them and request that they be undeleted.  Is there a way to select them en masse?  The only problem that presents is, while I see the emails that were removed by the system, I also see emails that I did delete because they were not needed.  If I select all of the emails, then I need to go back and review all the emails and delete the ones I no longer needed and had already deleted.  Also:  How did this ever happen in the first place?!

We’re glad you found the missing messages, but we understand why sorting through them again would be frustrating.

On a computer, you can restore a batch instead of selecting each message individually. In Recover Deleted Items, click the first message you want, hold Shift, and click the last message in that group. Then choose Move Selected Items, select the destination folder, and confirm. This selects everything between those two messages, so smaller batches can help avoid restoring emails you intentionally deleted. Xfinity’s email recovery instructions

Finding them there does not tell us what caused the deletion, so we cannot yet confirm that the system removed them. Do you access your Comcast email only through the website, or also through a phone app or a program such as Outlook or Apple Mail?
