Same issue

Last several months my Xfinity email and IOS mail app not working as it did.  E-mail does not come through, shows error messages, like server blacklisted, etc., but then couple hours later or days it works?  Anyone else?

I get several weird error messages, password, blacklisted, etc….  I have changed password and it would temporarily work, then back to same problem

Yes both at home on wifi and via cellular data outside the home

Cannot Get Mail

The mail server

"imap.comcast.net" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings.

Server code "ALERT", server message "Temporarily

blacklisted IP Address - try again later".

OK

Also I get message ever Messages at the bottom of the iPhone mail program saying the account could not connect, I will try to get the exact wording next time I see it

Thanks for that information, @user_1f8n8m! We generally see this with VPN users. Are you using any type of VPN software on your devices?

No, I do not use a VPN, also I have been using xfinity email for approx 20 years and this just started a few months ago

Have you tried to go on the website, update your password then remove and reinstall the app on your phone and reset up the connection of the email client? https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email
