Please help with not being able to receive emails due to "over user quota". I emptied folder, but it's still not working!

I need emergency assistance with email. I received error message on one of my (most important) email accounts that 100% capacity was reached. I erased a ton of emails, making sure the largest attachments get erased. I cleared the trash bin. I waited 24 hours. Still, I cannot receive any emails. When I tried sending a test email to myself from another address, this is the error I get : “Message could not be sent. Error message from mail transport server: 452 - 452 4.1.1 <c… [Edited: "Personal Information"]> user over quota”.  I am using a desktop, Xfinity website directly.  I can send emails from that account, but not receive. Please help I really need those emails! I called customer service, but ended up with a support ticket, which might take forever.

@cherachael

You emptied the folder but did you empty the Trash?

I was chatting with Xfinity support for almost 3 hours, after which they told me to call Customer Security Assurance. It is over 60 minutes wait! How can I get some actual help?

@cherachael I would be happy to run through basic troubleshooting with you for the account to help make sure that emails are being received, but the Security Assurance team is the team to work with to have the logs and inbox checked and for help with receiving new emails. I know you have tried deleting and clearing the trash bin. Does the email usage show 10GB used?
