Old Email Password Reset

I was told that I have to reset my email password. It is a secondary account from a primary account I haven’t had for years. I am told that I have to work with the primary account holder to reset the password. That isn’t an option. How can I reset it?

Do you recall if you logged into your email within 90 days of downgrading or disconnecting service?

I did. I was using it regularly. I am newly homeless and need to get into some of the sites I used before to get help. It said I had to change my password.  When I tried I got caught in a loop that I couldn’t get out of. I really appreciate any help you can provide!
