Not Receiving Emails Sent From Gmail to My Comcast Email Address

The issue just started today, 9/11/26.  A friend texted me that they received a notice from Gmail that their email to me did not go through.  Here is the notification:

I tired sending a test message from my own Gmail account to my Comcast email address and the email has not been received.  Email was sent at 7:12 p.m.

Next I sent a test message from my Comcast account to my Gmail account and the message was received instantly.  I then replied to that message to see if it would be received in my Comcast account but it has not been received.

Please advise and thanks.

The reply to the message sent from Comcast to Gmail and back to Comcast was just received 45 minutes later; however, the original message sent at 7:12 p.m. from Gmail to Comcast has not been received as of 8:12 p.m.

Are you able to log in to webmail and check your email there to see if it arrived?

It's not there either; neither the message I initiated from my Gmail nor the one my friend sent.

The only message received from Gmail was the one I initiated from my Comcast email to Gmail and then replied to.

Thanks for the reply.

I just tried a second test message from my Gmai account to my Comcast email address and Gmail sent me a delivery delayed message stating "The response from the remote server was:

421 4.2.0 74.125.230.205 Throttled - try again later. Please see https://postmaster.comcast.net/smtp-error-codes.php#RL000001"

Hopefully this will help an Xfinity employee to correct the problem.

Please advise and thank you.

I seem to be having this same issue for a few days now. Emails sent from a Gmail account to comcast are delayed by hours. My sent emails from Comcast arrive immediately. Has there been a solution to this side?

Same problem.  Just started within the last few days with gmail accounts I've been using for years.

@dwcruz I am sorry to hear of this issue. Have you tried adding that email address to your safe list? https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-connect-safe-list

Both people are in my contacts and have sent me countless emails over the years.

Ughhh! I am expecting a call back from Comcast soon. They were going to run some diagnostic test that takes about 1/2 hour.

Same issue here.  I'm getting emails from some gmails account but some are bouncing back.  Seems to be an internal Comcast error....

I THINK it may have stopped. However, it's hard to know for sure if emails from others were sent that I've not received. A google search on this mentioned the move to yahoo servers (I think). Hopefully all is ok. However, Xfinity did not handle this well. Again.

Just got off the phone with Comcast, they claim everything is good on their end. She suggested reaching out to Google. Guess what? There is no Google customer support phone number or even an online chat option!!!

I was given the same suggestion.  However, emails from gmail accounts are appearing now so they must have fixed something somewhere.

I am having the same issue and this is a business email for a senior residence! Is this truly something that Comcast is not happening?? I am absolutely not paying for services that are not being provided and are not being resolved. . . or even acknowledged!!

You never paid for email service - it was always a freebie.

Plus, why are you using a residential email for business purposes?

Add me to the list of people that I see below who are having the same issue. I first noticed it the end of last week when my wife tried to forward something from her gmail account to me at my comcast account. She received the same or a similar message about the Delivery Status Notification (Delay). The yesterday a friend with a gmail account told me that she's been trying to send things to me over the weekend and was getting similar messages. I finally started getting the various emails sent to me--but delayed for a day or two.

It appears to be fixed as I'm not getting those notices anymore.
