Missing emails [Edit]

Missing email from GoComics.    I subscribe to GoComics to receive a daily email with comic strips attached.    They have made some changes and as a result I no longer receive my email.   This is what they have told me:

Hi Gene -

We have made updates again on our end, but it seems for some reason Comcast.net keeps associating our emails as spam. You can reach out to Comcast if you'd like, but I'm worried this issue will persist. Would you like to update your email to another email? This may work better for consistent delivery of your daily cartoons.

Best,

GoComics Support

As they are suggesting I reach out to Comcast, that is what I'm doing.   If anyone else out there receives comics via GoComics, do you also have a problem receiving the emails?

You'd probably be better off opening a Gmail or Yahoo mail account.  Comcast is notorious for dropping emails like your GoComics subscription.  Lots of businesses have the same problem of emails not making it to their Comcast recipients.

@Again  Thanks.   If this is a known  problem with Comcast blocking the emails, I see it as a Comcast defect and I shouldn't need to find a different email service.  Comcast is very expensive and should work  With other companies.

Just an FYI, Email isn't a line item on your bill, so it can be discontinued at any time.  As of right now, only the Primary person can have an email address.  Last June, Comcast stopped issuing email addresses to secondary users.

Actually, the GoComics email just showed up.  We'll see how long it lasts.

So far so good.   The GoComics are once again showing up as before.

Well, so much for that.  They stopped showing up again.  I sent a message to go comics but they will most likely say the problem is with xfinity...  Heavy sigh....

Sure enough.   GoComics says it is a Xfinity filter that must be blocking the email with the cartoons.   Somehow that was corrected in the past.... or at least something was because it started working.    If it is something Xfinity can do to correct the problem that would be greatly helpful.

So sorry they stopped coming in again.  I seriously suggest you open an email account with someplace like Gmail or Yahoo maybe expressly for the comics.  It might save you a world of headaches in the end.
