Last 2 weeks Threat to take away my Email Address

For 30 years used Comcast Email Address. 7 years ago, I move to a community that does not allow Comcast TV services. I want to keep my same email address. Yet I have been getting threats of having it cancelled unless I have other paid services. True or not true?
