IMAP help

I am trying to get my email messages on my iPhone. However, I am getting a pop up message that says "The IMAP server "imap.comcast.net" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "Incoming Mail Server" field." I have entered the correct email address and password but it still won't load my email messages. Any other ideas?

@cml22 What third party email are you trying to connect it to? What device are you accessing it on?

Comcast.net email and I have an iPhone 11. Every time I try to open it on my phone the "connecting" term with the spinning wheel keeps going but no connection happens. The only way I can seem to get it to work is if I shut down my iPhone every time I want to check  my email on my phone. If I shutdown and restart then I can get my email to update. Thanks for your help!

No- accessing through my computer is fine. It is just through my phone.

I see. Have you tried to make this changes on the iPhone, Switch your Xfinity Email from POP to IMAP on iPhone?

It has always been on IMAP. The incoming mail server is Host Name: imap.comcast.net   User Name: my internet address and then my password Server port is 993.  The outgoing mail server is smtp.comcast.net then my email address and password. The SSL is ON, Server port is 587, and Authentication is checked to Password only. Does all this look correct?
