how to get rid of the "do you want to permanently delete the email" warning message

Before right now when I highlight an email and hit the trash icon, it would instantly be deleted.

Now for the first time, I am being forced to hit a second message in order for it to leave my inbox. It was not like this six hours ago. Whats going on. There was a previous question about this and everything suggested in it has no effect.

... I am being forced to hit a second message in order for it to leave my inbox ...

In webmail, check to see if

(gear icon) / Email Settings / Mail / Behavior / Permanently remove deleted emails

is checked. If it is, you'll get that message, and deleted emails don't go to the "Trash" folder, they go directly to the hidden 30-day "Recover Deleted Items" folder.

Please be aware that there are 2 kinds of responses in this Forum: Replies and Comments. When you Comment on a post by scrolling down to "Comment on this post here...", I am notified of your response. But if you select Reply, I am NOT notified and may not be aware of your response.

Hey @user_62f5zd, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience regarding the Xfinity Email enhancements. Were following the steps provided by @BruceW able to assist? Are you deleting emails from the Inbox or spam folder? If you do not like the pop-up messaging, you are also more than welcome to use a third-party email client that may not have the additional prompts as well.
