How do I change my email?

You have my email address wrong. WHen I go to edit my profile, it's grayed out.  How do I get it set to the right email (It's currently set to my wife's email)

Hello user_d6def3, I hope you are having a great start to the week this Monday morning! Thank you for reaching out to us on our Xfinity Forums for help with updating your email address on the account. I'm sure trying to verify the account will be difficult if a code was needed via email, I would be happy to help out and make sure we have this updated.

If you visit https://customer.xfinity.com/settings are you able to access the email address and to edit it to your correct email?

@XfinityPaula​ Yes, it is correct there (customer.xfinity.com). It is wrong in the forums.xfinity.com system and in that system it is "grayed out"

@user_d6def3, thanks. If you have updated your email address here, it should eventually update on the forum as well. How long has it been since you updated it?

My regular email is already the "preferred email"

Forums. has never updated the information. My wife has to keep sending me notifications when this thread is updated.

user_d6def3 OK, so that certainly should have updated by now. Can you send us a direct message with your name and address please. I will check the backend to see what is causing the entire system to not update. 

To send a direct message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a live chat. 
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3J0ir1l
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
