Help with "ESMTP server temporarily not available"
I am trying to send email from my Thunderbird account on my HP laptop and receive this error message: "resomta-h2p-554995.sys.comcast.net resomta-h2p-554995.sys.comcast.net Excessive failed authentication, ESMTP server temporarily not available."
I recently switched to the AT&T fiber network, and I recently updated my comcast.net email password. I can send and receive email normally from my iPhone, iPad, and directly on the Xfinity mail website. I can receive email via Thunderbird on my HP laptop but I get the error message when sending.
I would love to have this issue resolved. Many thanks.

This usually means that one or more of your devices is repeatedly trying to log in to the mail system, but is supplying an incorrect ID or password. Eventually the system will lock you out for a period of time. Double-check your settings at https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email.
The Comcast Security Assurance group (see https://spa.xfinity.com/contact-us) may or may not be willing and able to help you. If not, you'll have to locate the troublemaker yourself. https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/possible-solution-for-unable-to-connect-to-email-from-apple-maybe-other-devices-after-changing-comcast-password/65a1a8fbf961c6163a367c6f describes one approach.

Thank you for reaching out to our team. @BruceW was correct, if that did not resolve that issue we will be happy to look further into that issue from here.
