Have Begun Getting Hundreds of Spam Emails in my Xfinity Connect Inbox Every Day
All coming from Google, all look to be from the same spammer. I've created dozens of filters trying to reject these including rejecting all incoming mail from Gmail, and none have any effect. I am unable to get any help whatsoever with the garbage automated system. I've been a Comcast/Xfinity customer for decades but I'm cancelling after perhaps two more days of this.

Hi! Thanks for speaking to us about these spam emails you have been getting on our Xfinity Forums. It's easy to get bogged down with lots of spam at times and its definitely frustrating. We have filters and advanced settings to help keep your inbox safe.
To start, you will want to log into your Xfintiy Connect website to manage the settings and filters. From there, you can go to settings> email settings > Advanced Settings >select Automatically Move Spam & Potentially Harmful Messages to Spam Folder. When you do this, spam will automatically be filtered to the spam filter and delete it after 7-days.
Additionally, you can set up Email Safe Lists under the Advanced Settings to allow certain emails you do want if they are being recognized as spam. Can you try these steps to see if this helps, please?

I have it set to send them to the spam folder but have two frustrations. One is that they're not being blocked upstream. As I mentioned this spew just started a couple of days ago and now is 100+ a day, all clearly from the same sender using a variety of Gmail addresses. (I checked the message headers and, in fact, they are originating from Gmail). Second, the filters on the Xfinity webmail have no effect whatsoever. I've tried every possible syntax to block them various ways, from things like "congratulations" in the subject line to gmail in the from. Nothing works.
My other email client can pull from my Xfinity inbox without dragging the hundreds of spams along so I guess the answer is just to not even try using Xfinity webmail.
I have forwarded several hundred of the spams to [Edited: "Personal Information"] but that doesn't seem to have any effect either.
