Excessive time delays for receiving emails

This issue has been raised before, and it still has not been resolved. Emails sent from outside the comcast.net domain are frequently delayed. I have included the email header from an example email received today but sent yesterday. As you can see the email was delivered to the Comcast server at Sun, 01 Feb 2026 19:00:35 -0500 but didn't make it to my Inbox until Mon, 02 Feb 2026 21:08:31 +0000. This delay is totally unacceptable as it is clear that the delay is being caused by the message being bounced around multiple Comcast servers.!!

Hey there, @RickD01, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your email delays. We want to ensure that you are receiving your emails in a timely manner. I understand a lot of email information can be time sensitive. How are you attempting to access your email inbox? Are you using our website or a third-party mail client?

I am using both web email and Outlook on both my laptop computer and android cellphone. The delay appears in all places. The headers clearly show the delay is between the message arriving at your first server and then finally getting to the server that holds my Inbox.

Thank you for sharing and for being our eyes and ears on the other end, RickD01. We'll ask a few questions to gain a better understand and work together towards a fix. Have you Upgraded your Comcast.net email experience to Yahoo Mail?

Since I have not received the notification from Xfinity with the Yahoo offer, I am unable to confirm that switching will fix this issue.

Is there any way to get the offer sent to me now?

RickD01 The email transition will be prompted once you access our Xfinity Website. If it's not available, we'd have to wait. Unfortunately, we don't have the option of sending the offer to you. Invitations will roll out gradually through 2026, and when the time comes, you’ll see yours in your inbox or when you securely sign in to connect.xfinity.com. This change is not mandatory, and you can still choose to stay with us if you wish. Are you still experiencing issues with email delays? If so, we can help. Could you please send our team a Direct Message with your name and service address? Our team can take a further look at this issue.

To send a Direct Message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Messaging chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
