Email temporarily blacklisted

I am responding to post in January 2025 on the same subject.  This problem occurs frequently when I am out of the country.  I am able to access my email using the web link provided. I have unset and reset permission for third party email clients to access my email.  The next step, per the response to the Jan. 2025 post is to contact Comcast Security.  However, the contact info provided is a toll free number.  Toll free numbers do not work from overseas.

I’m wondering if the problem is unique to MacOS and iOS.

Thanks for following up — we know how frustrating it is to deal with email access issues, especially when you're out of the country.

You're absolutely right that toll-free numbers often don’t work from overseas, and that can definitely make things harder. If you’re trying to reach our Customer Security Assurance team while abroad, the best way to get in touch is by email. You can reach them directly at CSA_Requests@comcast.com — just include the details of the issue, the email address you're trying to access, and what you've already tried (like resetting third-party access). They’ll be able to take a closer look.

As for your question about MacOS and iOS — this issue isn't exclusive to Apple devices, but we’ve seen that certain security flags can temporarily block third-party apps from accessing the account when connecting from outside the U.S. That’s why it still works through the webmail portal, but not through clients like Apple Mail or Outlook.
