Email storage--when will you expand beyond 10G? How to cope with this limitation using Outlook?
Dear Sirs,
I am a long-time customer of Xfinity and I pay a high monthly rate. In general I am pleased with the features of Xfinity with only one exception: the email storage limits are so low. I am constantly at 98% and delete large messages with photos etc. Outlook allows me to have a great system to categorize important email so I can search them in the future. You always recommend that archive feature, but I have had problems using this and finding what I archive. Do you have plans to expand the limit beyond 10G? Do you have a good article/directions for archiving files to my computer and still being able to search them?
THanks

Hi @user_sd9w13! Thanks for taking the time to visit and reach out on our Xfinity Forum. We value you as a customer, and please know that my team is always here to support you. These are great questions!
Xfinity Email storage is fixed at 10 GB per Xfinity ID and cannot be expanded. If you reach this limit, you will be unable to send or receive emails. To manage your storage, you can review your usage by clicking the gear icon in Xfinity Email and deleting unnecessary emails or large attachments to free up space. At this time, there are no plans to expand this limit, but you can take advantage of more storage once you upgrade your comcast.net email to Yahoo Mail.
All active comcast.net email users will get the opportunity to upgrade to Yahoo Mail. To upgrade, customers must accept Yahoo’s terms of service (TOS) once they’re made available to them. After moving, email access will only be available using Yahoo Mail. Yahoo will provide all future email support. Once you’re eligible to upgrade your comcast.net email account to Yahoo Mail, you’ll see a prompt to accept Yahoo’s terms of service when you securely sign in to your email at connect.xfinity.com. If you have more than one comcast.net email account associated with your Xfinity account, you will need to sign in to each email account and accept the Yahoo terms, as each mailbox will be treated separately.
Customer benefits:
Retain their @comcast.net email address
Enhanced storage (20 GB), customization, and mobile access
AI-powered features and improved calendar integration
