email problem

I can receive email on my Comcast email account, but I can't send email from my laptop.  I can send it from my tablet.

The connection to remote server imap-east.ge.xfinity.com timed out while awaiting the response. Please try again later.

This is only when I try to reply to a message on my laptop.  When I hit reply to the same email on the tablet, the compose screen comes right up and I can write a reply.  

I was able to compose a new message and send it.  I can't verify that it was received, but it is appearing in my sent folder.

Greetings @gdov721, and thanks for posting to the Xfinity forums, I hope this message finds you well. Also thanks to @EG and @Again for your assistance. Mirroring what Again said, are you getting an error when you try to send email from your laptop, and also are you using the Xfinity connect website, or a third party app such as Outlook?
