Email migration to Yahoo?

When I logged into my Xfinity email, there is a large banner covering my access that states that Comcast email is switching to Yahoo. This seems like a scam and I would like confirmation that this is actually happening.

Hi there, @user_g25w5s Thank you for reaching out! I definitely understand your concerns with all the scams that are going on now. Yes, Xfinity email is legitimately transitioning to Yahoo Mail, and the banner you saw is not a scam. The transition for active accounts began in June 2025 and will continue in phases through 2026.-Richard

It's happening. When your account is ready to be moved, you will be prompted to sign in to xfinityconnect.email.comcast.net to accept Yahoo’s terms of service and complete your move to the Yahoo Mail platform. See https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/68e5cc7e19d01b57e46b0864?commentId=68e64c7119d01b57e46df868 for an example of what that will look like (unless they change their mind again!).
