Email, from myself to myself, going to spam on my laptop

Emails sent from my phone to myself stay in my inbox on both my phone and my laptop, Xfinity.com account.  Emails sent from my laptop to myself go immediately to spam on my laptop and do not show up on my phone.  I have tried clearing cache.  I have a filter, on my laptop, that says to send all email, coming from myself, to inbox.

I have a spam address feature in my Samsung email account that allows me to see all spam addresses that I have added over the years.  My email address was on that list until a few days ago, whenever I removed it.  Do I have access to a similar list on my laptop?  If so, might my email address be on that list?  If so, might that be causing my problem?

If not, please give me some suggestions as to how to fix this annoyance.

@sea_w432 In the webmail, you can create a "safe sender" by adding the sender's email address to your Address Book in the webmail application.

I found a message with the subject "Wolfe" that you sent to yourself around 11am ET.  I see that we delivered that message to your inbox, and then about 30 seconds later, your Android device logged in and moved it to the Junk folder.   You may need to remove your own email address from the "Spam Addresses" in your Samsung email client.

Well, the "safe" list is the Xfinity webmail address book.  We don't have the concept of "spam" addresses like that, but you can create your own filters to create rules to mark messages from specific senders as spam (managed by the user).

@sea_w432 In the past two weeks, I see one message you sent to yourself that we marked as spam.  However, you have the spam folder disabled, so it should have gone to your inbox.

Now, in order for us to answer the question about your laptop, we'd need to know which email application you're using on your laptop.  Generally speaking, you should be able to add your email to your address book, and/or add it to the safe sender list.

Thanks.

I use Firefox as my browser.  I go to this URL, https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/#!!&app=io.ox/mail&folder=default0/INBOX.  I see all of my email folders on the left side.  I use the buttons on top to mark stuff as Spam, which seems to work OK.

I've looked and cannot find a safe sender list, nor a spam list.  I keep my address book in this app.  My name, Chuck [Edited: "Personal Information"], appears in it, as does my email address.

If you can look in my spam folder today, you will see several test emails that I sent today, Friday, and March 27.

I don't see what you mean that I have my spam folder disabled.  How would I do that?  Why would I see it appear as working on the left side?

(I'm guessing that I might have some other security app that is screwing things up.  I use NordVPN, Trend Microsystems Maximum Security, DuckDuckGo, and Ghostery!

Thanks.  I see that message.

First, I do have Chuck [Edited: "Personal Information"], [Edited: "Personal Information"] and [Edited: "Personal Information"] in my Xfinity Address Book, along with my other 354 addresses.

Last week, I did find my [Edited: "Personal Information"] address in my Samsung Spam Addresses list.  I removed it.
BINGO!  It's back.

I just removed it a second time and things now seem to be working!  I guess I now have to keep tabs and see why it keeps getting put on there!

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!  I'll put you in for a 20% raise, ifn I ever talk with your boss!  8-))

@sea_w432 Thanks, much appreciated!  I'm not sure if there's a way to completely disable that "feature".  I wonder if you put your email address into your address book on your phone if that may help.

I do have it there as well, in my contact list.  In general, I use my laptop to organize my emails and keep important ones.  However, I use my phone to check email every 5 minutes, especially  whenever I am away from my laptop.  This system has worked for me for 10 years now, until this recent annoyance popped up.

So, my final question is ifn there is any way to access my Xfinity Safe and Spam email address lists?

Thanks, yes, I do that all the time (mark messages as spam.)  I think my Samsung email app shows that list of those senders whom I have marked over the last 10 years.  Have a good one!
