Email folders showing up under TRASH and are empty

I noticed today that I have a bunch of FOLDERS showing up under TRASH.  They are all empty. How can I recover the emails and get them back in the right place?

Hello, @Pilatesteach Thank you so much for working with us here online. We are here through our Xfinity Forums Support page to help you with any of your account concerns. I would be alarmed with emails of mine showing up in the deleted section as well and we have ways to recover those! Here are a few steps. Can you try this and let me know if it helps, please?

Go to https://comca.st/3z1mHZw and log in with your email address and password.

Go to the mailbox by clicking on the Email tab.

Right-click on the Trash folder or click on the More Actions icon (three lines) next to the trash folder, then select Recover Deleted Items.

@ComcastDevin

I already tried that, but as I mentioned, the folders were all empty, so there was nothing to be recovered.  I ended up going through all of my SENT folder.  I found emails related to the subject of the various file folder names under TRASH.  I  moved those back into new folders (not under TRASH) or into other existing folders.  Hopefully, I have most of the important emails.  I deleted a few of the empty folders under TRASH, for which I could not find any relevant emails in the SENT folder.

Thanks,

Pilatesteach

I'm glad you were able to recover as much as you did, but I know how frustrating it can be to lose any emails like this. Please let me know if there was anything more we can do to assist you with this.
