Email account recovery

Hello - 

I tried to log into my Comcast account today for the first time in a long while, and it says the account can't be found. I'm panicking that it has been deactivated/deleted, as it contains some very sentimental emails. Please tell me there's a way to recover it?

Depending on how long it's been Customer Security Assurance might be able to retrieve it for you.

Good morning @user_9w1092, and thanks for posting your issue to the Xfinity forums, I hope this message finds you well. Thank you @Again for providing the information for our customer security assurance team, that is a good resource for issues with the email account. When you tried to sign in to your email account and got that error message, did you try the option that says find your Xfinity ID to see what comes up based on your service address?

@XfinityJeff​ Thank you for your response. Apologies for my slow reply. When I try to sign in with my username it says:

The Xfinity ID you entered was incorrect. Please try again.

I tried the "find" option with the service address, but it doesn't come up. I tried calling the number @Again provided. The rep tried to look for it, and said they can't find it. They told me that accounts are deleted after about 9 months of not being logged into. That is COMPLETELY unacceptable. Just 9 months?!?! This might be what finally gets me to dump Comcast, unless there's some way to solve this. I am so, so sad and angry. I have several very, very important emails in that account, and there has to be some way to recover them. Please help me. I will pay for it if I have to, whatever needs to be done. Please.

@user_9w1092, I understand that this is frustrating. If the customer assurance department is not able to retrieve the email then unfortunately it has been deleted from the system and we will be unable to retrieve it. Our customer security assurance team is the only one that can get it back if it is possible.
