What email address is your 'MAC mail' using?  If it is the comcast.net email address then emails are handled by the Comcast servers and your 'MAC mail' is accessing them and the Comcast site only provides web access online as well.

I'll have my email @comcast.net....So basically there is no need to have it on their website since like you said if I was out of town and wanted to get my emails I can go on a computer and see them...I do not do that and have no need to.. So if I delete the email I will still get my mail on mac mail from the comcast server but no need to keep it on comcast website? Correct

The Comcast website accesses the same email server that your MAC mail does. If you delete the email from the Comcast server, your MAC mail has no access to it.

@bluebird51 noto sure if i'm following here all the way, but Comcast hosts your comcast.net email. The email is hosted by us and accessible via online portal at xfinity.com. By default  your email will be stored on our servers and accessible via the webmail portal. If you wanted to for example delete your comcast.net email account on our website - it will delete your entire email account including any and all emails in it and you will no longer be able to send/receive email anywhere. Including Mac mail. Overall, Mac mail is simply copying what it sees on the webmail. Without the webmail function your Mac mail wont function. 

If your MAC mail is set to use IMAP for mail access, then the mail is mainly stored on Comcast's servers. Your Mac mail may just keep a local copy. The webmail interface is just that, a web-based interface to the mail server.

If you want to keep your mail only on your computer, then you can change to POP3 and set your mail program to delete after it copies it from the server.

I do not feel it has to be on the webmail Xfinity website if I never get my mail there? It never was that way before when it was pop. It only came though to mac mail.There was no need to keep checking your website... If I do not delete some emails and I go to Xfi nity my mail is there as well. It should  not be unless I want to use your site to acess my mail if I'm traveling....

Geez, how do you think Xfinity My Mail would know if you were traveling and didn't have access to your mac mail?  If you don't want the webmail to have access to your mail after you see it using your mac mail, then do as @andyross suggests so it gets deleted from the Comcast server. 

Your mail does not "exist" in two places - it's "available" in two places. I use Thunderbird to access my Comcast mail (IMAP), and rarely access it from the Xfinity website. If I delete something with Thunderbird, it will no longer be available on the Xfinity website. If you normally access your mail using Mac Mail or Thunderbird, there is absolutely no reason to ever check the Xfinity website for new mail.

You need to do some reading about POP3 and IMAP email protocols.  Comcast email is IMAP compliant by default, but can handle POP3 instead.  See here-----------------
