You need to open your comcast.net email through Yahoo because effective June 2025, Comcast has upgraded comcast.net email accounts to Yahoo Mail for a better email experience at no extra cost. This upgrade provides enhanced security features, a user-friendly calendar, a mobile app, and smart inbox organization. Once you accept Yahoo's terms of service, Yahoo Mail will become your email provider, and you will access your comcast.net email exclusively through the Yahoo Mail platform. You can always use an external email app like Outlook, Thunderbird or Apple/Mac Mail, which might make it easier for you.

I had access to my account early Wednesday and late Thursday afternoon it says correct credentials needed and I have done it numerous times and want let me in and I have had this account for over 20 years.

Did you already transition the account to Yahoo? If so, that would explain why you are being asked to sign in with Yahoo instead of Comcast.
