comcast.net email not working

When I log into my comcast.net email account, it says 'loading email' but it never loads.  Instead I get a message saying "failurecount=1.' Is this happening to anyone else? Xfinity said it would take about 1-2 hours to fix the issues, however, it's been 5 and still nothing.  I have important emails that I need to get to so this is really frustrating.

Happening to me as well.  Says loading and then goes back to home screen.  Email will not load in any browser on desktop

I was on a chat this morning for 1.5 hours and they said it was being worked on in the backend and it would be up in 1-2 hours, however, it's been 5 hours and still nothing.  :(

@user_ndqbyl - Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment with your similar concerns. I'm seeing some reports of a previously known issue now being resolved, which is great! To confirm, are you able to log in to your Comcast email here? If not, you're in great hands with our team. We're awesome to work with because we'll always do whatever we can to help. Just let us know if you run into any more problems, and I hope you've had an enjoyable holiday week!

user_ie8q6y There was a known issue about the email that we did get resolved. Are you still having problems accessing your email at this time?

UPDATE: My Comcast email is finally back as of 11:55am EST Tuesday 12/17/24 (located in the Mid-Atlantic region) after being out of commission for about 7 hours!

Looks like they went back to the "old" interface, and decided to scrap the one they tried to launch this morning.

Hopefully, they fully test out the "new" interface *BEFORE* they roll it out again so that we don't wind up in this same fiasco later down the road!

@user_rqz2s5 Our apologies for the inconvenience as our engineers have become aware that there is an issue when customers who log in to xfinity.com to check email. We will continue to monitor the progress and update these threads once a resolution is found

Interesting that Xfinity surveys if issue thread is helpful, yet they never really post a clarification on what was occurring, how the issue was managed nor what actions should be taken by customers who may still be encountering same issue.  So I respond as "no".

I have not had access to my email for 14days!  After being told for eight days that is was a “server issue” that was being “worked on” I was finally told that the REAL issue is that Xfinity inactivated my email.  Except that it is NOT an inactive account.

the engineers are not fixing it for the past six days.  No one will commit a date by which my email will be fixed.

Xfinity doesn’t want to deal with email accounts anymore, so they are closing inactive accounts.  But, in the process, they turned off access to my active email account.

I can’t access any emails!!!!
