comcast.net email address tied to account, can't open email on xfinity.com after reactivating service

Hello,

I have a very old comcast.net email address/mailbox tied to our account. It was still set as the preferred email in account settings until a few minutes ago. We had the account deactivated for awhile due to construction work but reactivated it in November. I realized that 1) trying to open email through my.xfinity.com just loops back to that site and can't open the mailbox (i.e., tries to open https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/ but then automatically forwards back to https://my.xfinity.com/?cid=cust) and 2) we received a paper bill even though I had paperless enabled due to that being the preferred email address (which I'm now realizing may be wiped out). So basically my question is - is there any option to reactivate the mailbox? I'm fine using my main Gmail address as the preferred one to manage the account etc., but figured if we have active Xfinity internet, why not see if the original address can be active too. If it's not an option - what is supposed to happen when "opening email" on xfinity.com in a scenario like this?

Thanks!

Have you tried deleting your cache and cookies?  If you have changed your password and have passwords saved in your browser have you deleted that, too?  What browser are you using?  Have you tried a different browser?

Thanks for the reply Again! Unfortunately yeah it still happens even in unused browsers and incognito/InPrivate modes (I'm typically using Chrome, but have Edge & FF available, all tested). No password changes lately either (and pw manager isn't active in the incognito attempts). Same behavior, starts to load Xfinity Connect but just forwards on to my.xfinity.com

Thanks,

Z

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out here on our Xfinity Forums. I'd like to get a closer look at the account to see if that username is still active, since it's sounding like it may not be. Please send us a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name, address and the Xfinity username you are trying to access that email with.

To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
