Have you tried deleting the password and closing out of Outlook, restarting it, and then putting in the new password

@kodiak777 Have you also tried to completely uninstall the Outlook app, then reinstall it and make sure the settings are configured correctly? You can click here for the instructions on how to configure the Outlook email. Also, are you manually entering the password or using a saved password?

I have not tried to uninstall the app as setting up my other addresses seemed an investment; but if you think that might help I will try that now. I am manually entering the new password as I just changed it.
@user_3ed7b7, Since Outlook is working on your computer, but the app is not on your phone, the next troubleshooting step would be uninstalling then reinstalling the app. If at your convenience, you could please try that and let us know the results, that would be great!
We appreciate your help!

I have been using Android Outlook for my Comcast, and have had no problems. Have you tried removing the Comcast email profile from Outlook, then recreating it?

@user_mi67sw I have just encountered the exact same problem after a required password change that was triggered by Xfinity. I can access from my work desktop just fine....but get the error message on the mobile app. Uggh.
Thank you for reaching out to us @victorshimika! Please reset your Comcast Email’s password on our website using this link.
After resetting the password, please make sure your Outlook is up to date.
Then log out/remove your Comcast email in Outlook.

This worked for me. One note: when you recreate your account in Outlook, they send a verification message to your Comcast address - the one that you are trying to log into. You may have to access it through your browser.
I am having the same issue. I have changed my Xfinity password several times and tried each new password in the outlook app on my Android phone. Each time I get a Login error saying that my email or password is incorrect, which it is not. I deleted my comcast account from the outlook app and recreated it and it accepted the password which previously failed. My comcast (Xfinity) email worked fine for several days and then had the same issue. The Outlook program on my PC works fine and has never had the issue. I also have several other non-xfinity email accounts in outlook on my phone and have never had any issues with them. So the problem appears unique to the Android Outlook app with xfinity/comcast accounts.
Hi, sorry for the delay in responding. I finally have the comcast mail setup in the app, and it has been working ok, except syncing has been slow or I have to do it manually. Though moments before I started typing this I was sent a verification code from Blue Cross and it appeared almost instantly. When I send test emails from my gmail account I have to manually synch or launch the app to see them. I haven't had it fully setup as long as you to see if it begins to fail.
During my quest to get comcast mail to work, I set it up in the Outlook web site, which it where I have my very old hotmail account and it seems I need to have it in the app too in order to get contacts. Comcast worked great there and I'd hoped it would show up in the app, but no.
I don't know why the Comcast IMAP settings in the outlook app wouldn't take the new password. It is such a nice UI.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling that app on your phone? And, Are you changing your password while on your home network, @vannerm?

I would prefer not to delete the app - I will have to recreate all the rules for every email account again (this already happened with my Comcast account when I deleted it from the app). Are there any less 'nuclear' options that I can try first?
@vannerm - To be certain I understand, is this issue isolated to the app on your phone?

I could not correct from my android phone after changing the pw and tried some fixes including changes in my desktop Outlook and now I can't get in from there either. I can sign in to the Xfinity website using the email address and password and see my mail there. When I sign in I get the following message
Error
The provided login data to access mail server imap.comcast.net seem to be wrong. Please correct them.
I cured the desktop problem by removing the email address from Outlook and the adding it back in. Removing the address from my desktop app also removed it from the phone app. I added it back there. Phone app accepted my credentials and tried to connect but couldn't.. Was timed out because of nonresponse from server. I will see if I can get any help from Xfinity. That should be fun
I posted the following on Xfinity's FB page. Maybe if enough people do it, they will take resposibility for fixing this.
Ever notice Xfinity/comcast has no customer service group to contact. Xfinity forced me and many others to change the password on my comcast email account an then left us unable to connect to the server from our android phones. Xfinity has done nothing to fix this problem and cannot even be contacted to complain. Unconscionable. An example of a monopoly at work.

Good evening @user_1c192f. Are you still having issues accessing your email via your Android device?

I have deleted the comcast.net profile from Outlook on my Android phone. I tried to add it and had the same problem. I deleted the application and reinstalled it. Same issue. I was forced to change my password and cannot get connected back with my Outlook application on my android phone. I can use the new password (each of them because I changed it several times) to connect to the Xfinity application on my phone and the Xfinity website.

Every time I leave the US, Outlook stops working for Xfinity (comcast.net) on both my Windows 10 laptop and my Android phone. Every time. My other email accounts continue to work but Xfinity says incorrect. (connect.xfinity.com works so I know I've got the password right) I've changed my password, tried port 587, deleted the account from Outlook and re-installed (on my phone). Nothing works and I'm not prepared to waste a few hours waiting for support to regurgitate the usual suspects. When I return to my home (on Xfinity's network), it just starts working again. So, pretty sure there's some off-net/geo-blocking going on.
@adharkrader If you have tried the suggestions above and are still not able to access you can check out this similar post for additional information when accessing your email outside the U.S.

We need a bit more information than that.
Are you getting any error messages? If so, what are they?

This is the same problem I am having. Outlook was fine until I had to change my password.

I had a similar problem. The fix was to delete the account in Outlook, then recreate it.
