Comcast e-mail not working on Outlook for Android via Pixel 6 Pro

Comcast e-mail is accessible via Outlook on my desktop but not via Outlook for Android on Pixel 6 Pro. Previous discussion from 2020 indicates that it may be a Comcast server / database issue which is corrupting my login details. I have followed the support instructions and re-added [Edited: "Personal Information"] as an account on Gmail on my smartphone but I am still not able to log into the Comcast account via Outlook on my Pixel 6 Pro. All other e-mail accounts are fine. I have cleared cache and storage in Outlook and in Gmail, rebooted, changed from wi-fi to Verizon network, deleted the Comcast account in Outlook and in GMail and added it back. I have checked password and IMAP/SMTP settings. Interestingly, I have all mail to my Gmail address forwarded to my Comcast address and those messages are coming through! This has been going on for three months.

user_8rxb1o Thanks for creating a post on our Community Forums. That does sound very strange for sure and it sounds like you've taken quite a few of the steps available already. We may need to dig further into this for you and possibly create a ticket for our backend team to research further. Would you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?

To send a Direct Message:

Ensure you are logged in

  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
    • As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
    • An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it.

Comcast email stopped working on my S24 running Android using Outlook on March 26, 2024.  I cannot use Samsung email either.  I made likely the horrible mistake of removing the account after resetting the account did not work, and cannot re-add the account to Outlook because I get a message that the server connection has timed out.  I have verified all IMAP settings - nothing works.  All okay on my computer, nothing works on my brand new S24.

@user_wumtwd Please make sure you've enabled the third-party client access:

I am struggling with the same problem. It is frustrating that the only info available is the invite to join a private conversation.

I found that going into my email and turning off  third party client access, waiting 5 minutes, then turning it back on and waiting another 5 minutes my email started working again in outlook mobile.
