Collected Addresses in Address Books Gone

My address books were totally gone after my email was hacked around 2 weeks ago. After multiple open ticket items, all expedited, the one address book was recovered. Tech support insists that the Collected Addresses are all gone, deleted from their end.  This is 25 years of essential contact information. How could they retrieve the "address book" and not retrieve "collected addresses" ? Where do I go from here?

Thanks for letting us know about the troubles you've had while attempting to recover your address book. It's never easy when your personal information is compromised, and getting things back to where they were is always a priority. We'd love to further investigate this issue together. Would you be willing to send us a private message with your full name and address?

To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign in" if necessary

-Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon

-Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

-Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears, and the "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line

-Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

-Press Enter to send it

@XfinityJoshuaE  Can't locate the peer to peer chat icon. Would love to follow up with you.  My last contact with Level 2 support was yesterday, 8/12/22. I was told they've tried and none of their promises and nothing they do works.  All I need restored are the Collected Addresses.  They did restore Address Book alone (but all the group info is missing -- I can reenter this). They also twice now have restored all my emails, going back to 2010, which crashed my system.  They don't seem to understand what I'm asking for. Any help at this point would be immensely appreciated.

Hey @mrotman600, thank you for getting back to us and we apologize you were having trouble contacting us. The "peer to peer chat" option has actually been relabeled to "Direct Messaging". It will be in the top right corner of the forums when signed in right next to the notifications bell. Another thing to check though now that they have restored the address book and emails is the recovery option. When you right click on the collected address folder, a button with three lines should appear for more options. If you click that you should see a recover deleted contacts option. Does it show any of the missing ones there?
