Can't add Outlook account to Xfinity email
I've always connected all of my various email accounts (GMail, etc.) to my Xfinity account so that I can get all my emails in one place. Two days ago, my Outlook 365 account kept telling me it couldn't connect because my "credentials" weren't correct. I deleted the account after several attempts to connect and being told my password was incorrect. And now when I try to add the account, I get that same "wrong password" message. But I know I'm using the correct password. I can't configure manually as I once was able to do, either. Suggestions?

Click on the gear icon on the Inbox page in the webmail interface for the Comcast account, then on "Email Settings. On the landing page under Basic settings click on Security. Is the box checked to allow access by third party programs?

Yesterday, I spent 2 hours with 2 different techs trying to resolve this problem. They finally transferred me to a third who said xfinity did some type of software update that created the problem and their engineering department is trying to fix it but they have no idea how long it will take.

Hey, @kekaAZ! Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums! I apologize to hear you're having issues with trying to connect your other email addresses with your Xfinity email. Since it has been a few days are you still having issues? Are the steps that @Latoque provided able to assist you?

Microsoft Outlook had a problem logging in to my Comcast email account. I tried creating a new email account and that continued to fail. I reset my Xfinity account password to a shorter number of characters (previously using about 20 characters, now using 13 characters) and I was able to successfully create a new email account in Outlook to the Comcast email server. This problem for me turnout to be the length of password being used. For those having problems try reset and shortening your Xfinity account password.

It seems xfinity corrected their problem with the updated software they installed . I now added outlook.com as my second email to xfinity account.

I recently noticed that the issue returned. This time I was able to resolve it by turning off my Norton VPN feature. Hopefully, Comcast can resolve this issue if it turns out to be VPN use. Give this a try if you're using VPN. Let us all know what you discover.

I saw a post somewhere that they shortened their password to 13 characters and it worked. I used 10 and that worked.
