cannot send email from Spectrum through Outlook
I am having the same problem as outlined in a post from 1/18/2025 with the same title that I've used here. The rest of that initial post read as follows:
"I am unable to send email from my Spectrum rr.com email account through Xfinity network. Receive error code 1130. Task '[Edited: "Personal Information"]@nycap.rr.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC6F) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) email server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: 554 p-impout006.msg.pkvw.co.charter.net cmsmtp [Edited: "Personal Information"]blocked. Please see https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1130. "The server responded: 554 p-impout004.msg.pkvw.co.charter.net smsmtp [Edited: "Personal Information"]blocked" The IP address you're trying to connect from has an issue with the Domain Name System. Spectrum requires a full circle DNS for emails to be allowed through."
In the ensuing discussion, it was noted that "@XfinityAlex has been able to correct this for others."

Hi @XfinityMartyR, I contacted the Security Assurance Team and spent 2 full hours getting bounced around to email and internet personnel but was unable to get to anyone who could understand the problem, let alone get it into the right hands for a correction. If you search the forum for "cannot send email from Spectrum through Outlook", you will see that Xfinity has made a correction for this problem in the past.
My belief, based on the error code I'm receiving ("The IP address you’re trying to connect from has an issue with the Domain Name System (DNS). Spectrum requires a full circle DNS for emails to be allowed through. Verify the IP you’re connecting from, and check the IP address to ensure a reverse DNS entry exists for the IP."), is that Xfinity either needs to make a public DNS entry for the IP I'm connecting from or a Reverse Proxy entry for mail.twc.com (the email server I'm connecting to) in order to resolve back and respond.
Please get this to the proper networking personnel who can diagnose and (presumably) make the necessary changes. Thank you.
