It turns out whole swaths of Xfinity Comcast are blacklisted. Mine since before the house was built or I was in the state. After the fifth technician that did not know what was "wrong with my equipment or line, or was going to send someone over to the house....." the Chairman should be ashamed that any employee either allowed so many spam hosts to cause blacklisting en masse.
An entire (CIDR /13) address block has only a few exceptions granted, Spamhous-XEN only allows requests from the ISP (Xfinity) to remove any of the 524286 usable addresses to be unblocked.
Granted for most users they do not know that a flagged address belongs to them. For months, I have had issues that kept referring to a blacklist. Our house address was flagged in 2008. What has Comcast Xfinity done to remedy the situation? Sometimes a site gets a spamming email virus, but most are simple to detect by the provider, SMTP or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol uses port 25, many rapid fire opens of port 25 that seem to never stop - ISP can shut that user down.
If Xfinity has a team swatting individual addresses. the five representatives who I communicated with tonight were fixated not on the company Data Center's point of presence. It is YOUR equipment/line/configuration or reboot needed. Absolutely clueless. Autonomous System Number 7922 with title Comcast-7922 has the few exceptions that I can see 524286 usable addresses. Slightly less customer usable to be more transparent. Say 200 are either exempted by the third parties blacklisting or used for Comcast operations of the larger ISP.
Negotiations should be weekly about the in use addresses and statistics showing no email spamming. (some surely on purpose are sending spam, but not so many that customers should pay for flagged service. My address should be changed to one which is outside of the block or price halved because I have equipment that I have working fine on my phone hotspot from Xfinity's competition. I have to remember to turn on and off that hotspot and am paying more for it to use 100% of my services. Would publicly apologize if Comcast can divulge how many hours since 2008 they have worked to get the addresses cleared. I asked the second blacklist to unlist my unlucky number 13 last octet. Comcast Xfinity by the Spamhous rules must guarantee with them not to allow spamming. That technology for Xfinity is mere pennies in distributed cost. I would be most pleased to speak with a Vice President who is responsible for not fixing this since 2008. My hope is when I return from work tomorrow I have a non-blacklisted, no issues with usability by a blacklist address specially routed, and leave the one hundred &73,4,5,6,7,8,9 octet for its third.
After 4pm When I leave work my number is on the account. Enough should be here to allow them to know which account and cross check. I also still do not have the second port open on my router to share my bandwidth tier. I see now that they took it off the rate card, hence I will need to get to a VP level for a respectful discussion.
By the looks of things a 75' lateral is all that stands between me getting off of copper and onto another competitor's fiber. They at least promised me two ports, with my existing equipment. Project manager says is just a standard adapter and common to swap my modem so it's F connector mates by converter box to the fiber line which for new customers gets conducted through the yard and all the way inside my attic and to current equipment. Its worth even a 50% price increase to me, so at each angle Xfinity can lose but with better support, and reps who listen to the customer with outside plant experience. Few of my support calls actually were caused by something I did or bought for service. I really want to replace this with a letter about how nice the tech was - and they did not have to dispatch because the equipment is still in the middle of the high/low on each channel. (i.e. perfect)

I am having same problem (temporary blacklisted IP Address). I called Xfinity and they still can't solve this issue through the phone (keep telling me I put the wrong password or need to check with APPLE to figure out what's wrong with my Mac.
For those who came out of the other side of tunnel, could you please advise what other ways I can try to resolve this issue ?
Much Appreciated!

Spoken to xfinity customer care, sadly not fixed or followed up on. FIOS is in process of getting installed so we will switch and negotiate an addenda to their contract.
New IP address ranges are expensive and worst case. Just have some for those of us affected by third party blacklisting.
It is no rocket science and mine was listed in 2008. Management has had plenty of time to do something that fixes.
Try a VPN appliance, is how some get by with an address somewhere else in the US. Otherwise you will be screwed. Xfinity just wants that almighty profit and a front they are trying to help. Shameful.

I have installed quantum fiber and every time I use comcast emails through thunderbird or outlook the comcast.net email server blacklists my IP.
I still have a comcast modem, and when I use that (with xfinity) the ip is no longer blacklisted.
Can someone help please?

I had same problem and finally resolved it. My advise is - don't bother to call Xfinity since everyone I talked to on the phone has no clue how to solve
this issue. Finally I managed to find a website " https://postmaster.comcast.net/IPB-removal.html " that has all the information you need.
To get your IP removed, you will need to submit an on-line form to Xfinity.
To start, you will need to know your IP Address. This is NOT the one starts with 192.xx.xx.xx. You can find your IP address by google " myip.com".
Good luck and hope everyone will resolve this issue. Also I found out Xfinity like to private message us to resolve the problem. However this way, we don't see the result on the forum. So please come back and share your experience. I believer by us unit together, it is the only way we can get a better customer service from Xfinity.

The problem simply went away on its own. Been with comcast since 2002, so had my fair share of problems.

I started receiving this error on 8/19/22 (Blacklisted IP Temporarily). I am using the outlook client locally. I called the CSA Team and Josh the technician told me to contact the manufacturer of my pc! Then he said to contact Microsoft because xFinity cannot change the IP addresses to whitelist them. I am extremely frustrated and need a solution ASAP. If it is Dell or Microsoft blocking me from your email server I apologize! Can someone help me!
