Allowing external forwarding

Someone I work with is trying to set up a rule in their Gmail account to automatically forward certain e-mails to my Comcast account. Unfortunately, when processing the rule, she gets an e-mail back that contains the following message: "Remote server returned '550 5.7.520 Access denied, Your organization does not allow external forwarding. Please contact your administrator for further assistance. AS(7555)'"

Is there a way to allow external forwarding so I can automatically receive e-mails from my co-worker that I need to receive? Please let me know - thank you!

Hey there, @frielj4! Thanks for creating a post regarding your co-worker's email forwarding concerns. Based on the message you shared that she's receiving, it sounds like she would need to contact someone in IT or administration for your company/organization. Have either of you done that yet by chance? Rather than changing a setting on your end, with your Comcast email, it sounds like she's being blocked either by Google/Gmail or your organization's email settings. Please let us know what you find out, and we'll be here to help in any way we can :)

@XfinitySara Thanks for responding so promptly! I did try to auto-forward an email to my Comcast address from a non-Gmail account that I have access to, and got the same message. But both attempts were sent via Outlook, so could it be a problem with using Outlook?

That may be possible @frielj4. You may want to reach out to support for Outlook or Gmail for additional assistance as well.

@XfinityDena@XfinitySara Well, I was able to auto-forward between two other non-Comcast e-mails at work (domain of hslckirkland.org), so I don't think it's an Outlook issue. The common denominator appears to be Comcast. Any other ideas?

I apologize, but we would be unable to assist with any Outlook issues or errors. Do you encounter any issues when using the web portal version or forwarding the message without auto-forwarding settings?
