Ads overwhelming in email move to Yahoo

Since the move to Yahoo mail was Xfinity's idea, then why am I inundated with Yahoo ads and being asked if I want to "upgrade"  to an ad-free account? Shouldn't this have been part of the move in order for Xfinity to continue provide customer service to its users? Especially the ones who have been with comcast/Xfinity for ages.

@spacemickey

You can use an ad-blocking extension in your browser.  There are several well known ones that are free to install.  I use Ad-Block Plus myself.  See here for others------------

I do not see a place in settings on the yahoo email to block ads - other than upgrading for a fee to yahoo +

@spacemickey This is correct, Yahoo Mail is a free service made possible by marketing ads. Our apologies for the inconvenience. I also understand per their website an upgrade is needed to remove ads. I have a link from Yahoos help and support website with more details https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-yahoo-mail#topic=TOP_MAILPLUS

Yahoo Mail Plus (purchased on a computer) - Removes ads for 1 account in the web and mobile app interfaces. Video content will continue to appear in empty folders. Yahoo Mail Plus for Mobile (in-app purchase tied to a Google Play or Apple ID) - Removes ads for all accounts in the mobile app, but does not remove ads from the web interface for any account.

There may be an option for you to try Yahoo Plus with a free trial.

I will also hare your feedback as well.

Did you have any additional questions or concerns for us?
