Xfinity disconnected number and claims it is ported out

Hello, I have been a customer with Xfinity for 8 years. On January 6th, 2026, while on a call with Xfinity to speak about dropped calls, Xfinity accidentally disconnected my line and has claimed they cannot recover my number. After 9 days, there is no progression on this issue. I have driven to 2 Xfinity stores a total of 6 times, with the online chat support telling me that it would ready in 24-72 hours for recovery. This time has passed 3 fold. I have went through the process of opening a complaint with the FCC and BBB as Xfinity keeps telling me I need to reach out to other carriers. I cannot continue doing this as I don't know who has the number and I wasn't the one that disconnected the line. It has been an extremely difficult and frustrating process with no answers.

user_zd01lu We can understand how upsetting and disruptive this situation has been, especially after having the number for so long and being told repeatedly that it would be resolved within a certain timeframe. Losing access to your phone number when you did not request a disconnect is understandably frustrating, and we’re sorry for the runaround you’ve experienced.
