Xfinity Assistant text spam

I received this text " 266278  Hi, it's Xfinity Assistant here with important information.  We're aware some customers may be having issues sending and receiving @comcast.net emails in applications like AOL, Apple Mail, G-Mail, Outlook or other mail clients.  If you're experiencing this issue you may need to reset your Xfinity password.  You can do so by going to xfinity.com/password."  I am very cautious about clicking on any links until I can verify with the main vendor.  Is the legit or not.

Hi there, user_jj5124! I can understand the apprehension when getting texts like this! That appears to be the correct text number for the XFINITY Assistant and that is the appropriate link to change your password. The issue indicated is something that is happening as well. If you are not experiencing the issue then you can ignore the text. If you are having that problem however, you do not need to follow that link. You can manually change your password as well.
