why does the IMAP account password pop up each time after I have already updated my email

Last night when I opened my email a box popped up for me to log in to IMap account. I don't even know what that means.

I called comcast today and a technician helped me but my email is not right and the box is still popping up. WHAT IS THIS

I am getting the same imap password notice. I did a chat with xfinity, they sent a link, I changed my password and saved it. Now it is saying that Comcast is offline. What do I do now? still no emails.

Hello @user_izuwbo and thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums!

We appreciate you taking the time to share what you've already tried, and I'm sorry to hear you're still unable to access your email after resetting your password. I can understand how frustrating that must be, especially after working with support and following the password reset steps.

To help us better understand what's happening, can you let us know how you're trying to access your email? For example, are you using the Xfinity email website, a mobile device, or a third-party email application such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird?

Also, have you already completed the migration of your Comcast.net email account to Yahoo? Knowing whether your account has been migrated will help us narrow down the cause of the login and password issues you're experiencing.

We'll do our best to help get this resolved once we have a bit more information.

I keep getting a pop up requesting I enter my imap password. I’ve deleted then rendered my email and change password but I still get the same error. How do I resolve this problem

user_l2t7ts thank you for using the Xfinity Community Forums page to reach out today. I understand that you are getting an error with constantly being asked to enter your password. From my experience many customers who have come across this issue were able to resolve it be resetting the password and logging in with the new one.

I have this issue, for years. Comcast blames applications and settings that we have to check over an over again. Even removing and adding it to email apps doesnt resolve the issue. The last time I removed the email account and tried to add it again did not my accept my password changed a few minutes before. Please provide us with a solution not just a work around that only works for a couple of days.
