Trade in value

I got my new phone on 10/19 I gave the person who set my phone up my old phone he told me he was so ship it out never gave me a receipt saying he told my old phone 13 pro max, when by two weeks later and ask what’s going on with my trade in phone they say they shipped it out that Sunday not to worry the dead like ends this friend the 11/06 I want to not miss the dead line what can I do please help.
