Shipping new phone

I am trying to trade in my phone for an iPhone 17. Xfinity says that it can only mail the new phone to the main address of the account, which is my dad's address. I live across the country from my dad and am still on his phone plan. Is there any way to ship the new phone directly to me? It's kind of annoying that there is no way to change the address.

I'm also wondering how to convert my physical SIM into an eSIM when my phone arrives.

user_coet5a Hi there! Thanks for using our Forums to contact us and our team is here happy to point you in the right dirrection. At this time, devices do need to ship to the main address on file for security reasons. You can have it delivered there and then forwarded to you once it arrives .
You can also check with a nearby Xfinity Store to see if in-store pickup is available for your upgrade.

@XfinityJorge So there's no way to change the address even if I can verify my identity? I'm not really sure what "security reasons" could exist, since I already have to prove my identity when purchasing the phone.

Also, my other question is regarding my SIM card. I have a physical SIM at the moment but the phone I am going to purchase doesn't have a SIM slot, as far as I know. How can I convert it to an eSIM?

user_coet5a Only delivering to the address on file is for fraud security. This way in case someone has the information they need to pretend to be you, they still can't have the device delivered to their address before you catch it.

The phone you get from us will already have an eSim assigned when it arrives for activation. You would only need to convert the current device using a physical sim if that was what you were doing, but phones that come to you will come ready to active with it's eSim assigned.
