RCS no longer working

I can no longer utilize group chats as RCS has stopped working about a week or so ago. Tried several troubleshooting items such as clearing cache on messages app, I don't have an XCS app, so couldn't clear cache there. Re-started phone numerous times, turned off RCS for 4 days. My phone number in RCS settings still shows connecting with error 3000. I am using a Google Pixel 7 pro. Please help to fix this issue to sync my phone back with Google's DB.

We'd be happy to help you figure out what's preventing RCS from connecting on your Pixel 7 Pro!

We can see you've already put quite a bit of effort into troubleshooting, including clearing the Messages app cache, restarting your phone multiple times, and leaving RCS disabled for four days. We definitely don't want to have you repeat those same steps.

The fact that your RCS status remains stuck on "Connecting" with error 3000 suggests that the registration process isn't completing successfully. RCS relies on Google Messages being able to verify your phone number, so we'd want to narrow down whether something is preventing that verification or if there's an issue with the mobile line itself.

One thing we'd like to clarify: Are you still able to send and receive regular SMS/MMS messages and use mobile data without any problems, or is messaging only affected when using RCS?

That will help us determine whether we need to investigate the mobile service itself or focus specifically on the RCS registration issue. We want to get those group conversations working again without having you go through another round of troubleshooting that hasn't helped.

Only impact is to RCS with group messages. I can still send/receive SMS/MMS just fine.

No issues with data either. Everything else on the device is fully functional.

@bosoxgal Although this doesn't explain the 3000 error, does everyone in the group conversation have RCS enable to use RCS features such as read receipts, typing indicators, and high resolution media sharing.  If RCS is not available, the message may be sent as SMS or MMS. To verify if someone else is on RCS (Google Messages):

Open a new chat message with the person.
Select the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Select Details.
If you see Only send SMS and MMS messages with an option to turn it on or off, this person is on RCS.
If you don’t see this option, they are not on RCS.
Messaging app conversation settings screen showing options for chat theme, snooze, notifications, archiving, and blocking/reporting spam. An option to send only SMS and MMS messages is available and currently turned off. Screenshot.
From this screen, Android customers can toggle On or Off the option to Only send SMS & MMS to this person only.

This is not just happening with one group chat. ALL of my group chats have this error. The people are not always the same. I find it hard to believe multiple people across multiple group chats have RCS off 🤔

To add... My husband is part of one of the group chats and he can still engage in that group chat with the other people, but I can't.

Your explanation is senseless.
