Phone Unlock needed

My phone has been paid off for more than a month now and it is still locked. I have used this phone for 2 years on Xfinity mobile and would like to have it unlocked.

I am using the android and planning of trading in the phone to google for the new purchase. Just wanted to make sure it is carrier unlocked since it is one of the requirements. I don't have access to different carrier SIM card and from what i can tell this phone is not unlocked. Thanks!
