Phone Delivery/Signature

For reasons I won't get into, we cannot be available to sign for a package at home.  We get no-signature-required packages delivered several times a month (sometimes a week) without any issue.  I need to upgrade my phone and am being told that someone would need to sign for it at our house.  Is there any way to waive this requirement or 'pre-sign' for it electronically?

Hello @rpf75 and thank you for posting such a great question on our Xfinity Community forums!

The biggest reason we require a signature is to ensure the security of your account and that your expensive purchase is delivered to you and not anyone else.

Xfinity requires a direct or adult signature for all phone deliveries. You cannot pre-sign for the package online or waive this requirement.

If you are not home when FedEx attempts delivery, they will leave a door tag. At that point, you can generally use FedEx Delivery Manager or the FedEx Hold at Location option to have your package securely routed to a nearby FedEx facility (like a FedEx Office) to pick it up at your convenience.

Alternatively you can also check local inventory and do an in-store pickup in some cases, but that may limit your options on item specifics if the exact item you are looking for is not in stock at the local store.

Please let us know if you have additional questions!
