Partial refund-returned new iphone
Hello,
I am requesting resolution regarding an unresolved refund for an iPhone order that I returned months ago.
On 11/9, I ordered a new iPhone 17 under a 24-month payment plan. My card was charged $84.38, which included the first month’s payment and sales tax. The phone was backordered and delivered toward the end of November. After receiving it, I decided I did not like the phone and returned it in early December using the prepaid return label provided by Comcast.
I expected the original $84.38 charge to be refunded. Instead, I was unexpectedly charged $796 for the phone. When I contacted Comcast in mid-December, I was told that although I was not on a 24-month plan, the phone had been received and my statement would be adjusted before my autopay processed. That adjustment never occurred, and my autopay went through with no correction.
I called again in January to request the refund and followed up 2–3 days later. I was told a refund would be issued. On 1/7, I received a partial refund of $400 to my card. However, the remaining balance has still not been refunded.
Since then, I have called customer service nearly every week. During my most recent call, I was told my open tickets would be reviewed and that I would receive an update within 24–48 hours. As of today, 1/21, I have received no update and no remaining refund.
I returned the phone as instructed, yet Comcast is still holding my money. This issue has been ongoing for over a month and requires immediate attention.
Please contact me as soon as possible with a clear explanation and confirmation of when the remaining refund will be issued.
