Illegal bait and switch tactics
While upgrading my Xfinity mobile phone I was offered $1000 trade it credit for my phone and when checking out the credit was changed to $450. I have screen shots of the transaction and it’s a clear bait and switch tactic. I spoke with a representative named George over the phone who couldn’t have cared less about addressing the issue. You need to make it right.

Hello @user_o5cb7w, and thank you for reaching out here on our Xfinity Community forums.
We can understand why seeing the trade-in amount change from $1,000 to $450 during checkout would raise concerns, especially when you captured screenshots of the original offer.
To provide a little context, Xfinity Mobile trade-in offers can depend on the specific promotion and its eligibility requirements. The current trade-in terms distinguish promotional offers from standard trade-in values, and eligibility can include the device meeting required physical and functional conditions. Promotional credits can also depend on meeting the requirements of the specific promotion.
We’d be happy to review the specific $1,000 offer you were presented and determine why the amount changed during checkout.
If you would like, please send us a Direct Message with your full name and complete service address along with any screenshots you may have recorded during the process, and we'd be happy to look at this further for you.
