Extra fees to do Xfinity's policy
Hello. I recently bought a new phone in-person in Oregon. Comcast's policy to only allow my phone to be sent to the main policy holder resulted in me paying Massachusetts' state tax of about $68 and then addition shipping of about $28 to ship my phone from Massachusetts to Oregon. Is there any discount on our next mobile bill you able to offer us? Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Hello @user_j1q3eh , and thank you for reaching out here on our Xfinity Community forums.
We can understand why you’d be frustrated after purchasing the phone while in Oregon but ultimately having additional costs associated with getting it to you there.
For some additional context, Xfinity Mobile devices that are shipped are sent to the Xfinity Internet service address on the account, and for security, the delivery address can’t be changed after the order is placed. When a Mobile device is shipped, the applicable sales tax is based on the shipping address, rather than the physical location of the store where the transaction was initiated. An Xfinity employee recently clarified this distinction on our Community Forums.
If a device is purchased from an Xfinity Store and taken with you at the time of purchase, however, the taxes are based on the store location.
We certainly understand why paying approximately $68 in Massachusetts tax and then another $28 to get the phone to Oregon has you asking whether anything can be done. We can’t promise a bill adjustment or credit, but we’d be happy to review the circumstances with you and see what options may be available.
Please send our team a Direct Message with your full name and complete service address, and we’ll take a closer look.
